Care Guide
Washing and Conditioning:
Frequency: Wash every 2–3 weeks or as needed if product buildup occurs.
Shampoo: Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo. Gently cleanse using lukewarm water, stroking in a downward motion. Avoid rubbing or bunching the hair.
Conditioner: Apply a rich, hydrating conditioner and let it sit for 5–10 minutes. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb while the conditioner is in.
Rinse & Dry: Rinse thoroughly with cool water to seal the cuticles. Pat dry with a towel and air dry whenever possible. Avoid vigorous towel drying or heat sources such as a blowdryer.
Styling Tips
Heat Styling: Always use a heat protectant before flat ironing or curling. Use tools on low to medium heat settings to avoid damaging the hair cuticles and preserving the quality of the hair
Versatility: Raw Vietnamese straight hair holds curls well and returns to its natural straight-wavy texture after washing. Avoid excessive heat styling to maintain longevity.
Blow Drying: Only blow dry when necessary. Use a nozzle attachment and keep the dryer moving to prevent heat damage.
Daily Maintenance
Brushing: Gently brush using a paddle brush or wide-tooth comb, starting from the tips and working up to the roots. Avoid brushing when wet.
Moisture: Apply a small amount of lightweight serum or leave-in conditioner to keep the hair nourished and frizz-free. Avoid greasy products.
Night Care: Braid or wrap hair and cover with a satin/silk scarf or bonnet before bed to reduce friction and maintain smoothness.
Colouring and Chemical Treatments:
Professional Only: While raw hair can be dyed or bleached to 613, we strongly recommend using a professional colourist for best results.
Test First: Always perform a strand test before full application. Over-processing can compromise the hair’s natural strength and shine.
Post-Treatment Care: Use deep conditioning masks regularly after chemical treatments to restore moisture and elasticity.
Long-term Care
Storage: When not in use, store the hair in its original packaging box or a satin bag, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Reinstallations: If using bundles, ensure your stylist removes and reinstalls the hair with care to prevent shedding or damage. Speaking the wefts is recommended to preserve the integrity of the wefts.
Longevity: With proper care, RAW Vietnamese straight hair can last 2-4 years or more. Regular trims and maintenance will keep it looking its best.Consider rotating between multiple sets of extensions to minimise wear and tear on any single set and prolong their overall lifespan.
